Life insurance, sized to what your family actually needs
Life insurance pays a tax-free amount to the people you choose if you pass away. I help Ontario families work out how much they really need, compare term and permanent options, and check what workplace coverage already provides — before recommending anything.
What's included
What we’ll cover together.
Included
- Term and permanent life insurance, explained side by side
- Working out how much coverage your family would realistically need
- Reviewing group coverage through your employer and where it falls short
- Protecting a mortgage on terms you choose, rather than by default
Worth a conversation if
- You've bought a home or had a child
- Someone depends on your income — here or overseas
- Your only coverage is through work
How it works
Four clear steps.
Step 1: Your family's picture
Who depends on your income, what you owe, and the goals you've promised — like education or support for parents.
Step 2: What you already have
We review group coverage through work and any existing policies, including what ends if you change jobs.
Step 3: Options side by side
Term, permanent or a mix — with the amount, length and cost of each explained plainly.
Step 4: Application and review
I guide you through the application and health questions, then we revisit coverage as life changes.
What does life insurance cost?
Premiums depend on your age, health, smoking status, the amount of coverage and how long it lasts. Term insurance usually costs far less than permanent insurance for the same amount. I'll show you real quotes so you can compare actual numbers rather than estimates.
How long does it take?
A first conversation needs no preparation. Once you apply, approval can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks, depending on the amount and whether the insurer needs medical information.

Life insurance needs calculatorCommon questions
Life insurance, answered.
How much life insurance do I need?
Add up the income your family would need for the years they'd rely on you, your debts, and goals such as education, then subtract savings and existing coverage. Our life insurance needs calculator walks through this, and a conversation refines it for your family.
Is a life insurance payout taxable in Canada?
Generally, no. A death benefit paid to a named beneficiary from a personally owned life insurance policy is normally received tax-free in Canada. Ownership and beneficiary choices still matter, so it's worth setting them up carefully.
Can I get life insurance with a health condition?
Often, yes. Many conditions are insurable, though they can affect price or terms. Some policies ask fewer health questions in exchange for higher premiums or lower amounts. Being open about your health at the start helps find the best realistic option.
