Insurance

Coverage that keeps your family’s plans on track.

Insurance is easy to buy and easy to get wrong. I'll help you work out what your family would actually need, check what you already have, and explain the options in plain language — before you sign anything.

Life insurance

Money for your family if you pass away — to cover the mortgage, daily living costs and the plans you've made for your children.

More about life insurance

What we’ll cover

  • Term and permanent life insurance, explained side by side
  • Working out how much coverage your family would realistically need
  • Reviewing group coverage through your employer and where it falls short
  • Protecting a mortgage on terms you choose, rather than by default

Worth a conversation if

  • You've bought a home or had a child
  • Someone depends on your income — here or overseas
  • Your only coverage is through work

Critical illness insurance

A lump-sum payment if you're diagnosed with a covered serious illness, so you can focus on recovery instead of bills.

More about critical illness insurance

What we’ll cover

  • How critical illness coverage works and which conditions policies typically include
  • How it differs from life and disability insurance
  • Choosing an amount that covers time away from work and extra costs

Worth a conversation if

  • You're self-employed or have limited sick-leave
  • You want a cushion that's separate from your savings

Disability & income protection

A monthly income if illness or injury stops you from working. For most people, their ability to earn is the biggest asset they have.

More about disability & income protection

What we’ll cover

  • Understanding what your workplace plan does — and doesn't — cover
  • Individual coverage for professionals, trades and the self-employed
  • Waiting periods, benefit periods and definitions, in plain language

Worth a conversation if

  • Your household relies on your pay cheque
  • You run your own business or work on contract

Super Visa & visitor insurance

Medical coverage for parents and grandparents visiting from abroad, including coverage that meets Super Visa application requirements.

[CONTENT / CREDENTIAL REQUIRES CLIENT CONFIRMATION] Confirm Super Visa / visitor insurance is offered.

What we’ll cover

  • What Super Visa insurance needs to include
  • Comparing deductibles, pre-existing condition terms and refunds
  • Coverage for shorter family visits

Worth a conversation if

  • Your parents are applying for a Super Visa
  • Family is visiting for an extended stay

Business owner protection

Coverage that keeps a business steady if an owner or key person can no longer work.

[CONTENT / CREDENTIAL REQUIRES CLIENT CONFIRMATION] Confirm business insurance / key-person services are offered.

What we’ll cover

  • Key-person coverage
  • Shareholder and partnership arrangements
  • Owner income protection

Worth a conversation if

  • You own or co-own an incorporated business

How much is enough?

The right amount starts with your family, not a rule of thumb.

Rules like “ten times your salary” are a starting point at best. Together we'll look at four things:
  1. Income your family relies on

How many years of income would your household need to stay on its feet?

  2. Debts you'd leave behind

The mortgage, car loans, lines of credit — anything your family would have to keep paying.

  3. Goals you've promised

Your children's education, a parent's care, support for family overseas.

  4. What you already have

Group benefits through work, existing policies and savings all count towards the total.

Before you buy

Questions every policy should answer.

Whoever you work with, you deserve clear answers to these. I'll make sure you have them.
  • What exactly does this policy cover — and what doesn't it?
  • How long does the coverage last, and what happens to the price later?
  • If I change jobs, what coverage do I keep?
  • Who should own the policy, and who should the beneficiaries be?
  • What would make a claim difficult, and how do I avoid that?

Not sure what you have or what you need?

Bring your workplace benefits booklet or existing policy and we'll go through it together. No pressure, no jargon.
